I received my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis and Clark, with an emphasis on children and families, in 2007. I am currently a registered intern with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists. After completing my degree, I worked for two years at Morrison Child and Family Services, gaining group and individual experience working with families, parents, and children aged 2 years to 18 years old. I have worked in-home with families with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as well.
I offer counseling services for families and individuals, helping you to gain the skills you need to live the life you want. Areas of interest and experience include working with families and siblings of individuals with autism, working with the LGBT population, working with adolescents, helping women with their own unique issues, and helping parents to be more effective'.
I will work with you to decide what course of therapy would work best. Approaches I use with clients include solution-focused brief therapy, narrative therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. I also incorporate mindfulness throughout the therapy process.
Please call or e-mail me and we can discuss how I might help you.
