I am a Life Coach and Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oregon as well as a Master’s level Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor.  I have worked as a mental health counselor for residential and outpatient agencies since graduating from Lewis & Clark College in 1997 with a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology.

I have been in private practice, since 2003, and offer individual, couples, and family counseling services in my North Portland office as well as by phone.  I work with adults, children, and adolescents, but specialize in helping professional working mothers to balance their juggling act!

Areas of clinical interest:
I am most experienced in working with grief, loss, depression, adjustment, anxiety, trauma, abuse, chemical dependency, adolescent, family, and women’s issues.  Throughout my practice, I have observed a pronounced need for improved self-care among my clients and this has become of special interest to me.  We cannot provide care for others if we are not caring for ourselves first.  This philosophy is the foundation for my work as a therapist.

Theoretical Orientation
:
I utilize strength based, solution focused, and cognitive behavioral approaches to counseling as well as coaching.  My approach is to listen, build relationship and validate feelings prior to focusing on developing a plan for change.

If you have any questions or would like to talk with me further please don’t hesitate to call or  email.  I look forward to meeting you
!!!
