Counseling is an opportunity to look closely at your life and choices in order to find the courage and self-compassion within you to be your best self. I am honored to join with my clients to support and guide them in this work.
I have a Masters of Science in Counselor Education from Portland State University. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor, Licensed School Counselor, and Licensed Professional Counselor.
I have been a School Counselor since 2004 and a Licensed Professional Counselor working in Private Practice since March, 2010.
I provide counseling to Adults, Adolescents, Children, Couples and Families.
Due to my experience in schools I feel most confident working with children, adolescents, and their families when it comes to academic and behavioral challenges. I have extra training in couples, marriage, and family counseling from Portland State University. I am also interested in helping clients learn to manage anxiety, depression, and stress symptoms that come from everyday life, trauma, and life transitions.
My approach is strength based, humanistic, holistic, and goal driven. I am drawn to and utilize the following theoretical models; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Counseling, Choice Theory, Emotion Focused Couples and Family Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills such as Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, and Mindfulness.
I look forward to working with you…please contact me with any questions.
