I obtained my doctorate in clinical psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and am an Oregon Licensed Psychologist. I provide DBT-informed therapy to adults (college age and up) and also provide auxiliary couples and family sessions for my individual clients when needed. DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) is a skills based therapy which balances acceptance and change. Working from a DBT perspective also means that I understand my clients in the context of their relationships and environment.
I am also a yoga practitioner and teacher and integrate yoga psychology into my therapeutic approach. Like DBT, yoga invites people to learn the skill of awareness to observe patterns of both body and mind. From there, I help clients learn skills to connect with their inherent wisdom and create change consistent with that knowledge. I find DBT and yoga psychology to be very complementary to one another as they both focus on learning to live a mindful and skillful life.
I work with clients who are struggling with the full spectrum of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and eating disorders. I see clients on Wednesdays at The Growth Place.
